Our Story

Healthy relationships don't happen by accident.

Learning to Love Better is a guided journal created by therapist Lindsay Jaques to help individuals build emotional awareness, healthy relationship skills, and deeper connection through intentional reflection.

For more than 25 years, Lindsay has worked as a licensed mental health therapist with adults and couples in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Throughout her career, she has listened to countless individuals share their hopes, frustrations, and disappointments surrounding dating, relationships, and the search for meaningful connection.

Lindsay is passionate about strong marriages, healthy relationships, and families that thrive. She believes that relationships are strengthened when humility, respect, intentionality, and personal responsibility are present. Over the years, she has helped clients develop greater self-awareness, understand attachment patterns, establish healthy boundaries, identify core values, and build the skills necessary for deeper and more fulfilling relationships.

A common response from clients is, "Why weren't we taught this earlier in life?"

That question planted a seed.

After years of witnessing the desire people have for healthy, lasting relationships, Lindsay felt compelled to create a practical resource that could extend beyond the therapy office. The result is Learning to Love Better—a guided journal designed to help individuals reflect, grow, and develop the awareness and skills that contribute to healthy romantic relationships.

Whether you are currently dating, preparing for a future relationship, or simply seeking personal growth, Lindsay hopes this journal provides a meaningful, comfortable, and encouraging space for reflection and change.

Thank you for being here and for investing in yourself. She is excited for the journey ahead and hopes this journal serves as a valuable companion along the way.
